3. IPL and PSL: Strategic Time Out

Every team can use time-out between 6-9 and 13-16 overs in their innings.

    There is only one strategic time out in PSL and the umpires decide when it will be taken. Generally, in PSL it is taken after the tenth over.

    2. Impact Player Rule

      The impact player rule is the most special rule of IPL. Under this rule, every team can change one player during the match. However, the captains of both the teams have to tell the names of the impact sub players before the toss. There is no rule like impact player in Pakistan Super League. In this, the captain has to tell his playing 11 before the toss and then there is no change in it.

      1. It is necessary for a foreign player to be on the field during fielding

        In both IPL and PSL leagues, foreign players are seen playing along with Indian players. In PSL, it is mandatory for less foreign players to come on the field during fielding. However, there is such a rule in IPL. In this, the fielding team can also field 11 local players.
