During the LSG vs CSK clash, Dhoni was seen limping on the pitch while batting. Later, he had difficulty walking when he received the Player of the Match award during the post-match presentation. The wicketkeeper-batter had undergone knee surgery after the IPL 2023, where CSK emerged as champions, defeating Gujarat Titans in the final.
In the ongoing tournament, Dhoni has maintained solid form, accumulating 130 runs in seven innings at a strike rate of 158.53. Out of these seven innings, he remained not out in four.
Currently, the Chennai Super Kings sit in 10th place in the IPL 2025 points table with just four points. They have won two out of seven matches and lost five. Their next match is against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, April 20.
