Emotional Reunion: Nita Ambani Shares Heartwarming Moment with Ishan Kishan at Wankhede

In a touching post-match moment after Mumbai Indians’ win over Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday, MI owner Nita Ambani shared a heartfelt reunion with former MI star Ishan Kishan at the Wankhede Stadium. Ishan, who spent seven seasons with Mumbai before being released ahead of the IPL 2025 auction, returned to the iconic venue in Sunrisers colours following a high-profile signing.
While his outing with the bat was brief—dismissed for just 2 by Ryan Rickelton—the emotional highlight came after the match. As players shook hands and made their way off the field, Ishan approached Nita Ambani with a warm smile. She responded with a kind gesture, patting his cheek affectionately.
The brief exchange of pleasantries between the MI owner and the young wicketkeeper-batter was a poignant reminder of the deep bonds formed in franchise cricket, even as players move on to new teams. Ishan then jogged back to rejoin the SRH squad, leaving behind a moment that touched the hearts of many fans.

MI Outclass SRH with All-Round Show to Clinch Second Consecutive Win

Mumbai Indians (MI) delivered a clinical all-round performance to secure their third win of the IPL 2025 season. Chasing 163 on a tricky surface, MI reached the target in 18.1 overs, riding on key contributions from Will Jacks (36 off 26), Suryakumar Yadav (26 off 15), and Tilak Varma (21*). Earlier, MI’s bowlers had put on a disciplined display, restricting SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) to 162 for 5, with Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, and Will Jacks leading the effort.
Despite some late resistance from Heinrich Klaasen (37) and Aniket Verma’s big hits in the final over, SRH couldn’t recover from MI’s early stranglehold. MI’s sharp execution and adaptability to conditions ensured a comfortable win.
With this victory, MI moved to six points in the standings but remain seventh. SRH, last year’s runners-up under Pat Cummins, continue to struggle this season with just two wins at the halfway stage, currently sitting ninth. MI, on the other hand, are gaining momentum, having now recorded back-to-back wins following their recent triumph over Delhi Capitals.
